The build up to the festive season has begun, with Christmas music and decorations everywhere we turn! It's easy to get caught up in feeling stressed and pressured at this time of year, so it's important that we continue to spend time on daily habits that help us maintain an even keel and a balanced outlook. Yoga, meditation, a walk outdoors, or even something as simple as taking a few moments to breathe deeply and be grateful for all that we have and the wonderful people in our lives, are all powerful ways to calm and ground ourselves when we feel overwhelmed. We are running our regular timetable right up until Friday December 23rd, so that we can help you keep your equanimity even as the silly season gets into full swing!
We'll be taking a break over the Christmas/New Years period - our last class for 2016 will be Friday, December 23rd, and we will reopen on Monday, January 16th.
Lonely Miaow Donations
This is always a really busy time of year for our friends at The Lonely Miaow, and they are so appreciative of our support. Please leave any cat food donations in the box by the desk, or consider contributing to them directly by bank deposit - The Lonely Miaow, 12-3066-0089806-00 - so that they can continue to do their wonderful work, rescuing and rehoming the stray cats of Auckland. This little guy, and many others just like him, thank you!
We have some great gifts for the yogi in your life (or for you to put on your wishlist!), starting at just $20. Crystal bracelets, toesox and lavender & linseed eye pillows make great stocking fillers, or for the gift that keeps on giving we still have a few Shakti mats (these went like hot cakes so if you want one let me know asap!), and beautiful cork and rubber yoga mats from Little Babe Eco Yoga Mats (check out their beautiful mandala design below).
